God was testing Abraham, wasn't gunna allow it to happen anyways. God also sent Moses and Joshua to massacre many many nations (women and children included) to give to Jacob's Bloodline: the Israelites (not the fake and gay Jews / modern day land of Israel). So the 10 Commandments only applied to the Israelite tribe since they were given before the Conquering. Conquering would break many Commandments since Israel (Bloodline of Jacob) literally coveted their neighbors land (Land of Milk and Honey), and massacred men, women, and children.
