Planefag report.
Watching helicopters.
N135LF is supposedly a Medevac life flight but it doesn't act like one.
It took off near Beverly, MA then flew a double loop over Somerville, then over downtown Boston, then if you believe the radar track (I don't), it made a beeline to Randolph, turned around and came straight back to Boston, and is currently heading for Weymouth at 379 MPH. Note: A EC135 helicopter should never exceed 178 MPH and its cruise speed is 158 MPH.
Oh - it is using the callsign ANON.
So what I'm seeing is totally impossible.
Is someone spoofing the radar signals?
Is it a database error?
Planefag does not know.
Is something important happening in and around Boston and its suburbs?
Over.
