I personally don't see how it will help. Sure people will use it; But the shitposting will still happen here due to it being the "General research thread"… Sooo I dunno. Normies will still go in it. As well as anyone else :)
I personally think leaving the general thread alone and just understanding that:
1) there has to be trust in the mod team and BO to do what they can to keep the threads rolling. (I am NOT suggesting bringing fungus back, just to be clear)
2) there has to be trust that should Q decide that this place is no longer suitable, then they will tell us so, and we move to where the Patriots go, just like last time.
Is the best way to go. We can't afford to fuck around anymore. This is it.
