18th of Evening Star, 4E 186. As I begin this new phase of my life, I have decided to finally keep a journal.
So much has happened to me thus far, both within the Brotherhood and without when I think there is no record of what has transpired, it almost seems an affront to Sithis himself. So I am determined to make amends.
Yes, the Dark Brotherhood has its own scribes and chroniclers, but it is their solemn task to record those events deemed important to the organization as a whole.
Let this volume serve as the personal record of one man, a lowly assassin who has pledged his blade and his life for the Dark Brotherhood.
This assumes that the person would have a desire for monetary gain.
But going on that assumption, greed would probably take hold for a while. Perhaps there is some lesson to be learned in having a lot of money, just to see what it is like?
Money can't buy you (genuine) Love, after all.
Let us just hope that any and all that reaches such a potential level of clairvoyance will have the clarity of sight (get it? ;) ) to refrain from impulsive actions that could potentially spell disaster, eh?
Or, if not, that another gifted clairvoyant with altruistic intentions comes along and puts a stop to potential disasters before they become reality.
Who is to say that this is not already the case? Not me, that is for certain.

I guess time will tell how much truth there is to Anything. I've recently found out personally that living happily while "waiting" isn't too bad! (Especially if you try to help others (not force, Never Force!) to live even a tiny bit happier lives as well, like rings on the water.)
As an example I took a walk earlier today. Picked some raspberries in the woods and put them in a leaf to munch on. Further down the path I saw a woman on a bench, so I folded up the leaf and gave her the rest and went along my merry way.
It put a smile on her lips, and even if she didn't eat the raspberries I'm almost certain she told someone the tale of the kindly stranger she met.
And if not, that is fine too. I had a good time and experienced no loss this day that I could not afford.

It is, however, important to not forget Ones own happiness in the pursuit of happiness for Others.
I believe that a balance has to be found between the two or else something will most likely fail eventually.
In short? Do not be afraid to say Yes to something you truly wish to do (and that you have thought through), but do not be afraid to say No, either. I'm a firm believer of equilibrium, hah! As long as it is not forced upon anyone, not even yourself, but a Choice.
