Jesus I live in a lemming stronghold. The washington punk community is ultra brainwashed and super vocal. I can’t speak about any politics whatsoever without fear of being ostracized. Theres loads of people who identify as antifa (knowing them they’re definitely not paid protestors. They just dont like nazis, however any kind of not left ideology to them is akin to nazism.) its double fed by punk being a pissing contest. Its all about going a little further than someone else in ideology, action, in being offensive or provocative…and its the perfect echo chamber. All the community leaders that say a certain ideology is correct is quick to be parrotted by everyone that respects them. its so strange to me that they believe all of this q stuff is targeted alt right propoganda. And the alt right are just nazis with better hair. Its a very frustrating time for me, watching everyone so confused do so many counter protests. Knowing what the drops say. And also having a job that relies on having a good reputation in the community.
