Yes.
My evidence is still evidence though… It's not very good evidence if your above speculation is correct. But it's still evidence that points to me being conscious. And since it's the best evidence I got, it not being good doesn't change that the rational choice is to go with the evidence until better evidence is presented.
This is how evidence works. Evidence is not proof, it's evidence…

Maybe, if the answer to any of the above questions turns out to be "because God". Otherwise they are irrelevant.
My point is, that the idea that a God might exist was necessarily formed in the mind of a human at some point. This makes it a claim and when no evidence of said claim is presented why would your goal be to verify the claim rather than just finding the truth behind these mysteries.
These mysteries wouldn't be less mysterious if no human ever claimed that a God did it.
