https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sisamnes

Sisamnes was, according to Herodotus's Histories, a corrupt royal judge active in the Persian empire during the reign of Cambyses II of Persia. When Cambyses learned that Sisamnes had accepted a bribe to influence a verdict, he had him promptly arrested and sentenced him to be flayed alive. He had the skin of the flayed Sisamnes cut into leather strips. Cambyses then appointed Otanes, the son of the condemned Sisamnes, as his father's judicial successor. In order to remind Otanes what happens to corrupt judges and not forget the importance of judicial integrity, Cambyses ordered that the new judge's chair be draped in the leather strips made from the skin of the flayed Sisamnes.

I live in the Chicago area.

There is a chain of grocery stores called Jewel.

They have a pharmacy.

When I shop there, the PA keeps announcing that they offer flu shots and covid shots.

I try to ignore it.

Lately they have been filling the store with Halal food to compete with other stores in the area that cater to the Muslim population.

I wonder if Jew-el is owned by Jews.

Airlines that have their airplanes flying over people's houses where you can see their landing gear, and people can't even talk to one another because of the noise, should have to pay those people's property taxes.

It's already been done behind the scenes.

It had to be that way.

What we are seeing now is the Movie part explaining to people why it had to be done that way.

There was no other way to do it.

Like a lifeguard rescuing someone who is struggling and fighting against them and trying to drag them down.
