Read the book recently within the past 3 months. Good story. Not too sure how the live action renditions measure up as I haven't seen them, either than 80s miniseries with Richard Chamberlain in it, or the recent Netflix one. There was moar to it in the book than just a simple war between two branches of Christianity at war with each other. I'd say that was moar a minor fact in a sub-plot.
