So I had the discussion with my friend prior to the Harry&Meghan wedding. I commented, that I do not understand what excites the people in this event and why the hell half of the world suddenly follows the monarchy religiously (most of the world being interested ofc in the British monarchy, we here in Fin interested very much so in the Swedish one as well). I just don't understand the phenomena. My friend said then these words: "In my opinion we observe this because the monarchy represents something better, something exclusive, sort of a better, UNREAL world. And in my opinion, because there are so few true monarchies still existing and in power, people SHOULD be that much interested in the subject and the preservation of the monarchy for as long as possible, for they are something exeptional." He left me wondering about this issue, especially when he used the words "people should be interested"…Is this a manipulation of masses into thinking that the rare monarchy is the new diety? I'm still pondering, but according to me such massive interest is simply unhealthy…
