I know this sounds odd but you should read you need to understand all the other areas involved as well as time periods so on… Hamas is relatively new on the seen for these types of groups.
If you don’t understand this by reading it you not done enough research. That is the difference between people that understand what they are reading at a greater level.
It can take years unless you are very good at studying to fully understand these types of conflicts.

Simple observation he is an Imam a religious leader as well as the leader or was of the country.
The fact that Hamas is fallowing this structure of religious empowerment is in itself modeled someone on the Iran model. Even though you have Sunni they are still different in some ways based on area.
These are sensitive topics because people are fearful of labeling all people extremist.
To me this simple observation shows that there are relations because of this similar structure. Is it any wonder that Iran was supplying weapons there way. Although under the banner of Sunni are they really… and also the relation to Syrian Iraq and Lebanon… are all tied.
Jordan has a reason why they are not as much actually and as well as Saudi Arabia. There leader ship is more of a different type and strangely more unified.
It is theorized that Iran was maybe trying to but in to Iraq and Syria with different ideologies trying to win over area with beliefs and then supporting the rebels in the area.
You can’t start to understand this kinda issue unless you know about alot of this area so on…
Having a tech degree is not going to do it.
