Like it or not the separation of church and state are important.
If I had one piece of advice to this area it would be to require this… that a religious leader or leadership not be in charge. To some point if someone retired runs for office so on… who knows but that would be a step to allow responsibly to be more directly related to the leadership. Why the UN and other international communities do not see this as a good step… is beyond me. I am not suggesting people take the value of religion out if they want to keep it but when it has seem to be to largely involved in a failing area this maybe a good step forward.
