Zelensky visiting Portugal
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, will visit Portugal on Tuesday and will have meetings with the Portuguese head of state, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and the prime minister, LuĂs Montenegro. At the invitation of the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will travel to Portugal tomorrow [Tuesday], May 28", reads a note published on the official website of the Presidency of the Republic.
According to this note, released simultaneously by the office of the Prime Minister, LuĂs Montenegro, "President Zelensky's working visit is part of the shared intention of deepening the excellent relations between the two states, with a particular focus on strengthening cooperation in the field of security and defense".

Belgium Commits $1 Billion to Ukraine Amid Zelensky’s Whirlwind European Tour
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday picked up a second $1 billion promise of military aid in as many days for his war with Russia during a whirlwind tour through the European Union.
The pledge came from Belgium, which topped up the money with a commitment to give 30 F-16 fighter jets over the next four years. The Netherlands added to the goodwill by promising to quickly assemble with key EU partners a Patriot air defense system, which Zelensky sees as key in stopping Russia from hitting the power grid and civilian areas, as well as military targets, with devastating glide bombs that wreak wide destruction.

GameStop (GME) stock surged as much as 22% on Tuesday after the video game retailer said it raised almost $1 billion from its latest equity offering.
GameStop shares opened at around $23, well below the near $65 level reached earlier this month during a short-lived meme rally.

GameStop said it intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include acquisitions and investments. The offering was first announced on May 17 along with the company’s preliminary financial results, sending shares tanking as much as 30% that day.
The offering was seen as a smart move by some Wall Street analysts amid the video-game retailer’s struggling financials. GameStop's quarterly sales fell sharply from the year earlier period, according to its most recent earnings report.
GameStop's move to sell stock coincided with fellow meme stock play AMC Entertainment (AMC). The theater chain also capitalized on the meme frenzy by raising $250 million through the sale of 72.5 million shares, earlier this month.
AMC shares rose more than 2% on Tuesday.
GameStop soared over a two day span which started May 13 after the online reemergence of "Roaring Kitty," the person who is seen as the kick-starter of the meme stock frenzy in 2021.
