Cops are idiots, then they're trained to be bigger idiots.

A mechanics lien is a possessory lien, meaning they get to keep possession of the vehicle until the debt is paid, or they can sell it. These cops were assisting someone commit theft.

They're "drunk" on perceived authority. They're largely unchecked and face no real consequences for getting things wrong, so there's no incentive to get things right.

Take this video for example. They're totally clueless to the actual law, but since they perceive themselves as having authority over the business, they tell him what THEY claim the law is. They don't care what the actual law is, they don't care if they're wrong, only that you obey.

I believe that's why they're being trained wrong. They've taken people that already have ego/authority issues and train them they can do and get away with anything, so that they end up taking the fall.

Blame the cops not the judges, prosecutors, politicians etc.

I say fuck them all.
