It started with the pill back in the 60s/70s,

It was because of the pill that people's concept of sexual relations changed from procreational to recreational. That was a massive change.

Once people accepted that sex was firstly a recreational activity and the only "bad thing" about sex was pregnancy, which must be avoided at all costs, it opened the door to any kind of sexual congress. Once people are brainwashed into believing that pregnancy is an unfortunate by-product oif what is essentially a recreational activity ( a human right, even) the door was opened for all manner of recreational sexual activity to claim equal validity as hetero, procreational, sex.

I forecast this exact outcome (acceptance of paedophilia) 40 years ago.
