Maybe the HUGE focus on MS-13 has all been a deception to convince the cabal that /ourguys/ had bad info and didn't know the real story, and therefore would never get to bottom of SR's murder.. And MS-13 had to go anyway.

MS-13 stooges were sent to assassinate SR ("phones unlock command & control"), but the cell phone data shows that they were murdered before they could do the deed. The real murderers did the job, with the blame falling on the MS-13 stooges. Investigation into the MS-13 guys was intended to be a dead-end because they didn't really do it and leads would go nowhere.
