"Cover your ears. The military is planning 12 days of air and ground drills at Trenton-Mercer Airport in June.
The airport, a small regional hub, generates air traffic over residential bedroom communities in Bucks and Mercer counties. Those communities will be reminded the place is shared by military operations with Blackhawk helicopters.
On June 3, continuing to June 14, the military will conduct “routine realistic military training,” according to a post to social media this week.
“The training will consist of air and ground mobility operations,” the post states. “During this time, the public may hear some additional aircraft because the training will include increased rotary wing aircraft operations, some into the evening. Planning has been done by the U.S. military to minimize impact.
The public and media are barred from the drill areas “due to safety concerns.”
