President Biden & Ukrainian President Meet in France

President Biden announced an additional $225 million in aid to Ukraine during a meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky in France. Mr. Biden also apologized the funding was delayed due to conservative opposition in Congress over continued funding in support of Ukraine against Russia. “The United States will stand with you,” Mr. Biden told the Ukrainian president. Mr. Zelensky thanked President Biden for the “tremendous support,” comparing it to the U.S. role in Europe during World War II. The two leaders met in France one day after they and other leaders gathered in Normandy to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day during WWII.
