Anybody else kind of annoyed with all the D-Day asskissing? Never thought for a second I'd ever feel this way, but just seeing some old af vet complaining on Fox that everybody's gone soft now really solidified it. The WWII worshippers really have no fucking idea what went wrong and how badly, starting before, with, and after that fucking war. Now I'd heard some stories from Memorial Day that for all the many parades they have in NYC specifically, the vet demographic that barely shows is from Afghanistan and Iraq. Like they're pissed or embarrassed or hurt that no one cares. Can't personally speak to how true this sentiment is, but if any Afghanistan/Iraq vets are reading this, anon is so sorry you had/have to suffer the ignorance and sometimes malice of others and salutes you. What we fight for today is just as important as anything in 1944, or hell, 1776, so we got no choice but to keep going. o7
