Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Ketanji Brown Jackson were gifted thousands of dollars in luxury items, according to financial disclosure reports released Friday.
Eight of the nine justices turned in their latest disclosure reports on time, but Justice Samuel Alito requested a 90-day extension on his file. The documents included money the justices independently earned from book royalties, along with the financial worth of some expensive items that were gifted to them. The filings are required by the Ethics and Government Act of 1978.
Thomas's luxury items included two trips he took in 2019 but omitted in other filings. The trips were funded by billionaire Harlan Crow, and included vacations in Bali, Indonesia and the Bohemian Grove club in California.
Jackson was also gifted luxury items, including four tickets to see Beyonce while she was on tour. It is not clear which concert of Beyonce's Jackson attended, but Beyonce was recently on her Renaissance tour, which included a stop outside of Washington D.C., according to The Hill. The tickets, which were given to Jackson by the star herself, had a net worth of $3,117. ..

Google removed Prager University (PragerU) from its app store on Friday, claiming the nonprofit had violated its hate speech policies after it released a short documentary that warns about the dangers of "radical Islam."
PragerU, which was founded by the conservative commentator Dennis Prager in 2009, previously sued Google and YouTube in 2016 for censoring more than 200 videos, which included videos on the Ten Commandments. The organization said the videos were placed on a "restricted" mode, which limits who can find it, without justification.
Google notified PragerU of its decision to remove the app through a letter, claiming it would be indefinitely suspended and removed from the app store because of “content asserting that a protected group is inhuman, inferior, or worthy of being hated," according to a news release shared with Just The News.
The tech company said it can control what in its app stores or on its social media platforms because it is a private company. But PragerU claims the moderation is clearly one-sided and restricts the conservative point of view. ..

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s presidential campaign claimed Friday that their candidate has submitted the necessary signatures to gain ballot access in enough states that he could get more than 270 electoral votes in November.
Kennedy, who is running as an Independent, has filed signature collections in 19 states total, and will officially appear on the ballots in nine of them so far. The other 10 are still in the process of counting the signatures. Kennedy is still hoping to appear on the ballot in all 50 states.
The campaign claimed Kennedy reached this milestone after submitting signatures in Minnesota, which has 10 electoral college votes.
“This is a tremendous victory for the campaign and the thousands of volunteers nationwide who have hit the streets with clipboards in hand and canvassed America to put ‘Bobby on the Ballot,’” Senior Advisor and Ballot Access Director Nick Brana said in a statement. “Come November, for the first time in decades, everyone across the country will have an independent choice who will end the wars, break up the corporate state, and make life affordable.” ..

A federal court in Texas on Friday ordered the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to stop discriminating against farmers on the basis of race or sex when awarding disaster relief.
"We just received a NATIONWIDE INJUNCTION in the Strickland v. Vilsack case, which halts the racially discriminatory farmer relief payments being made by the USDA," the Mountain States Legal Foundation said in a post to X. "The payments will no longer go out while the case proceeds! A proud moment for us & our partners."
The case was brought by the legal foundation and the Southeastern Legal Foundation, who also confirmed the news.
