Jesus told us to Love GOD with our whole heart, soul and mind, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. Everything else falls into place when these things are practiced, for love covers a multitude of sins (perceived or actual).
We also know that we are to forgive others as GOD forgives us.
I would humbly add that we need to learn to accept GOD's forgiveness and forgive ourselves as well, as many ask for forgiveness yet continue to overburden ourselves with our own sins, and this prevents us from being able to properly know how to love - for if we cannot love ourselves as Jesus taught us to, then we cannot love others, or GOD correctly. At times it also can be harder to forgive ourselves than it is to forgive others, so it seems logical to conclude that learning to forgive ourselves is important.
Therefore: learn to love yourself, for doing so you will also better understand how to love your GOD, neighbor, and in turn, your focus will be in the right place to cultivate a lasting, loving
relationship with a Ms Anon of equally yoked faith.
