Ignoring the fact that something being said in a metaphysical context is still literal, I wonder when you people will realize that God can say something and it be symbolic, metaphorical, AND literal at the SAME TIME because HE'S GOD.
The rest of your ramblings sound more gnostic than Christian, Jesus never told us to disregard all physical things and be a monk sitting on a mountain in a pile of our own shit to reach "enlightenment", the physical world matters just as much as the spiritual because He is making ALL things new.
