99% of all Politicians are most likely involved in corruption, sedition and treason in one form or another. At this point, I’d be cool with putting THEM ALL in jail… “Guilty until Proven Innocent”, just as they have done to We the People for the past many decades. Let’s call it the Precautionary Principal.

I don’t really want to see or have such a thing happen (to anyone really), but sedition and treason ARE crimes of extreme magnitude and effect upon millions or even billions of lives. Those who have knowingly participated in such crime… MUST be dealt with by such extraordinary measure.

In such a ‘thought experiment’, my instinct warns me about rushing into ANY executions. However, if We can find a way to clearly and accurately find Guilt AND we can find measured ‘punishments’… it is still frustrating that We must further ‘pay’ to house and feed people that have already ‘taken’ so much from civilization.
The Destroyers of civilization are not muggers and robbers (they will probably always be around). My personal ‘concern’ are towards those who plot and scheme megalomaniacal towards subjugation of mass humanity. Those are always the people who do the most damage and keep humanity from being worthy of exploring the Universe.
If Execution has been the determination of Our Courts and Our Government, then yes, i am of mind that We the People should witness such in the public square. Maybe the innocent eyes of women and children are invited to look away.
But if it’s Our “Government”, then We should see, or at least have the choice to see the sausage being made.
Yes, in the general, you point out the problem of an overgrown Government that has made an Industry of incarceration (often stemming from a LONG cascade of ‘crimes’ that initially are not real crimes, but grind peoples lives INTO real crime of damage, injury and death that probably wouldn’t have happened had people not been driven into such a life of Crime. It’s a tricky thing to untangle now).
Criminality disguised as Official Government… is vastly more deleterious, and MAKES Crime upon Crimes upon Crime.
