I believe it's more than that. It gave me the understand WHY God was so angry at Eve eating the Fruit of the Tree (Knowledge) rather than her infidelity with one or more of the Watchers… which produced the Nephilim (Giants).
The watchers (Elohim… Special Powers), taught the knowlege to "the ingorant peoples" all the sciences and much more. That is the knowledge the produced theability of man to think and progress beyond the basic intention of The Creator. The result is "Too Man People" on this Island Earth. God knew that would happen, and did… three times.
The End Times is not a super natural event. Mankind is doing it with technology and over population.
How?
Longer life span than before medicine and more food per acre, rapid transportation and long shelf life of food. When FDR "gave us Social Security at age 65, few people survived to age 60.
