A little more research is needed here.

Check Psalm 82, then look into Sr. Michael Hieser's work. Shortly, you will realize that Elohim are not exactly what we have been taught in Sunday School.

There is a reason not to trust your own understanding. Read a little bit more of what you were referring to. Like the entire chapter and see what it's talking about. You can't understand if you take one line out of a letter and try to make a case out of it.

Proverbs 3:1-35 (HCSB)

1 My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commands;

2 for they will bring you many days, a full life, and well-being.

3 Never let loyalty and faithfulness leave you. Tie them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 Then you will find favor and high regard in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;

6 think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.

7 Don’t consider yourself to be wise; fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

8 This will be healing for your body and strengthening for your bones.

9 Honor the LORD with your possessions and with the first produce of your entire harvest;

10 then your barns will be completely filled, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

11 Do not despise the LORD’s instruction, my son, and do not loathe His discipline;

12 for the LORD disciplines the one He loves, just as a father, the son he delights in.

13 Happy is a man who finds wisdom and who acquires understanding,

14 for she is more profitable than silver, and her revenue is better than gold.

15 She is more precious than jewels; nothing you desire compares with her.

16 Long life is in her right hand; in her left, riches and honor.

17 Her ways are pleasant, and all her paths, peaceful.

18 She is a tree of life to those who embrace her, and those who hold on to her are happy.

19 The LORD founded the earth by wisdom and established the heavens by understanding.

20 By His knowledge the watery depths broke open, and the clouds dripped with dew.

21 Maintain ⌊your⌋ competence and discretion. My son, don’t lose sight of them.

22 They will be life for you and adornment for your neck.

23 Then you will go safely on your way; your foot will not stumble.

24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; you will lie down, and your sleep will be pleasant.

25 Don’t fear sudden danger or the ruin of the wicked when it comes,

26 for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from a snare.

27 When it is in your power, don’t withhold good from the one it belongs to.

28 Don’t say to your neighbor, “Go away! Come back later. I’ll give it tomorrow”—when it is there with you.

29 Don’t plan any harm against your neighbor, for he trusts you and lives near you.

30 Don’t accuse anyone without cause, when he has done you no harm.

31 Don’t envy a violent man or choose any of his ways;

32 for the devious are detestable to the LORD, but He is a friend to the upright.

33 The LORD’s curse is on the household of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the righteous;

34 He mocks those who mock, but gives grace to the humble.

35 The wise will inherit honor, but He holds up fools to dishonor.

Now, you can spout your foolishness if you want. Or, you could read and learn the things that happen when you follow God's instructions and adversely when you refuse to follow God's instructions.

As for why you should not lean on your own understanding. . .

Jeremiah 17:9-11 (GenevaBible)

9 The heart is deceitful and wicked above all things, who can know it?

10 I the Lord search the heart, and try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his works.

11 As the partridge gathereth the young, which she hath not brought forth: so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.

Yeshua/Jesus came to show us how to get it right. He will return to restore ALL things to the way they were meant to be. Folks that hope for and believe that, get it. Those that refuse it, well let's say that they are toast. They have the same choice as every one else.

The side a person choses now determines whether they will be "Smoking or Non-Smoking" . No human was ever meant to go to the smoking section. Only Satan and his followers. But many will chose wrongly and go where they were never meant to be.

All Elohim are NOT Holy.

On the same note, all Elohim aren't evil, evil.

See Psalm 82. And try looking into the hebrew.

Elohim are residents of the spiritual realm. they took part in the creation, even if it was just to listen when God said what "We" would do.

Elohim is a residential term, like angel is job title, not an entity. Get educated. dig deeper into original meanings.

Even better, ask Jesus/Yeshua. He answers IF you ask. If you don't ask, you will not get answers. If you don't talk to Him, He tends not to talk to you.

It's a relational thing. Don't get hung up in Churchianity. Walk with Him. Talk with Him. He did, after all, rise from the dead and sent His Spirit to live in and through us IF we allow it.

And I never dissed the book of Enoch. I've read it through, and Jasher, and Jubilees. The First book of Adam and Eve is interesting, too. I haven't gotten to the second.

And along with the precepts, He constantly says "REMEMBER". His Commands. His Statutes. His Precepts. His Words.

Then there is discernment. Had a fellow throw a verse at me once, but the words were not God's but Moses'. he didn't look close enough at who was actually speaking with the statement. Lot's of preachers do that.

The only "Proof" that I can offer is what reading the Bible and listening to it's author has done in my own life. Bottom Line: It/He rescued me. Saved me from myself.

He took me from a party/hearty, womanizing, lying, cheating, all around scumbag and changed me into someone that actually hungers and thirsts for righteousness.

Righteousness. I have none on my own. It was just a word that I sort of had an idea of what it meant. Some abstract religious term that Bible thumpers used.

But He even taught me that righteousness is doing the right thing in the right way at the right time for the right reasons.

His teachings are simple and profound. But, If you never read His words, they never get written in your heart, and that would just suck. A person would be bound to be "Stuck on Stupid". I was. Now I'm not.

Okay, English then.

Psalm 82:1-8 (GenevaBible)

1 God standeth in the assembly of gods: he judgeth among gods.

2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

3 Do right to the poor and fatherless: do justice to the poor and needy.

4 Deliver the poor and needy: save them from the hand of the wicked.

5 They know not and understand nothing: they walk in darkness, albeit all the foundations of the earth be moved.

6 I have said, Ye are gods, and ye all are children of the most High.

7 But ye shall die as a man, and ye princes shall fall like others.

8 O God, arise, therefore judge thou the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Now, Get you a Strong's or whatever you want and pick it apart because you seem not to have Psalm 82 it by what you have said.

Maybe this would help a little more.

Psalm 82:1-8 (CJB)

1 Elohim [God] stands in the divine assembly; there with the elohim [judges], he judges:

2 “How long will you go on judging unfairly, favoring the wicked? (Selah)

3 Give justice to the weak and fatherless! Uphold the rights of the wretched and poor!

4 Rescue the destitute and needy; deliver them from the power of the wicked!”

5 They don’t know, they don’t understand, they wander about in darkness; meanwhile, all the foundations of the earth are being undermined.

6 “My decree is: ‘You are elohim [gods, judges], sons of the Most High all of you.

7 Nevertheless, you will die like mortals; like any prince, you will fall.’”

8 Rise up, Elohim, and judge the earth; for all the nations are yours.

Now, ask your question again.

Wait, I like this translation also. .

Psalm 82:1-8 (NLT2)

1 God presides over heaven’s court; he pronounces judgment on the heavenly beings:

2 “How long will you hand down unjust decisions by favoring the wicked? Interlude

3 “Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.

4 Rescue the poor and helpless; deliver them from the grasp of evil people.

5 But these oppressors know nothing; they are so ignorant! They wander about in darkness, while the whole world is shaken to the core.

6 I say, ‘You are gods; you are all children of the Most High.

7 But you will die like mere mortals and fall like every other ruler.’”

8 Rise up, O God, and judge the earth, for all the nations belong to you.

You don't have to be a Hebrew scholar, just a person with a brain and enough sense to actually ask God what he means about something to be led to meaning.

I think that we were talking apples and oranges. I was just pointing out that, even though YHWH is an Elohim, not all Elohim are YHWY. Yes, Some were cast down here. Some already worked here and still do. The 200 that you speak of should be being released about this time (in chains of darkness for 70 generations and all).

The Elohim in Psalms 82 are basically the ones that God turned the nations over to after the tower incident. The humans were basically disowned by God and turned over to these "gods". The people asked for it, they got it.

Part of Yeshua's mission was to make a way that these humans could eventually be restored. Too bad the "Church" has fluffed it up and hidden so much that, even though ta person reads the words, they get lead astray from pulpits and false teachers. It's a shame.

I read Jubilees. Enoch, Jasher, books in the apocrypha. Mainly, I stay in the Bible. Many versions and translations of the Bible.

In John 10, the Pharisees had a real problem recognizing and accepting the fact that God could actually be standing in from of them. They were so full of themselves that they couldn't accept it, wouldn't take time to humble themselves and ask God about matters that were going on. After all, they were expected to recognize Messiah when He arrived.

And though Jesus quoted Psalm 82:6 in John 10:3, He dictated it to Asaph originally as a prophecy. That is something that doesn't get taken into consideration. And it threw the Pharisee for a loop, as He intended it to. they were spiritually dead.

Oh, they knew the words. By heart, even. But without talking to the Author, the words are, after all, just words.

Jubilees, Jaher and Enoch are here and read. Genesis is my favorite book, "In the beginning God" and "Before Abraham was, I AM" are my two favorite quotes. And the more I learn, the more I realize just how little I know.

Jasher covers Abram's years, also, and is really action packed at times. Never since have I pictured Abraham as an old feeble man. I feel that he is one dude that you didn't trifle with. His Boys weren't panty-waists, either.

Yeah, God told me about the same thing about a year and a half ago. I started following Yeshua. He's led me to a congregation and taught me that I wasn't meant to "Go" to church but to "BE" the Church. Obedience in simple things. Take care of the widows. Take care of the orphans. Feed the Hungry. Listen for His instructions and Obey.

Sure beats Churchianity.

That, definitely, is a key.

And also this. . .

John 6:28-29 (CJB)

28 So they said to him, “What should we do in order to perform the works of God?”

29 Yeshua answered, “Here’s what the work of God is: to trust in the one he sent!”

Believe and Trust

In the 1960s it did seem more yellow, and kids always used yellow crayons when drawing the sun. I never used sunscreen and seldom got a sunburn.

1973 was the first year that I remember the sun seeming hotter, It really just registered sort of as a thought but that was the first year that I got blistered. Literally blistered. Three times that summer.

I mean, it's hot in the south. Always has been. I just specifically remember the summer of 1973 as being different.
