If the Nazis in Russia also infiltrated the government
They would have infiltrated the Communist Party
Which means that the event in 1991
Kind of CLEANED THEIR CLOCKS so to speak
They completely lost power
No doubt some tried to claw it back
Probably via oligarchs and corruption
But Putin has been quite consistent for the past 18 years
At finding and eradicating corruption at every level
Of Russian society
As one Russian put it to me 6 years ago
When I offered a bribe for a small favor
A job is worth more than money
Meaning that he would be fired for accepting bribes
My experience in Ukraine is quite different
There they do not only accept bribes that are offered
They demand them from you
And they bargain for a better bribe
They also point out what bribes others are giving
So you know that by outbidding the others
You go to the head of the line
One bribe I gave was to get a student the right to sit an exam
He had given proper notice that he was sick
And they should have rescheduled
But they wanted bribes
The teacher hemmed and hawed about a nice cash offer
And then I discovered that the director of the college department
Needed to approve, and get a share
When meeting him, I noticed the old Soviet windows in his office
So I offered to install new German windows for him
He accepted and I only paid a small cash amount to the teacher.
The window installation job went to a contractor
Who had advised me on other situations that needed bribes
So it was greasing the wheels with him
And sure enough, a year later I needed
To get a foreign passport expedited for the student
And the window contractor said that if I simply pay them the bribe
They would make sure it is ready in a week
And it was so.
Russia is a good example to the world
Ukraine is a godawful shithole where only 5% of the people support their president now
