It feels like a red hot 12" spike is being driven through my leg. It's about an inch in dia, pure iron. The last time this happen I witnessed it, saw as they drove the spike into my leg and foot. Contrary to rumor, they only used one spike for the legs and two for the arms along with rope. You die by suffication, you can breathe in, but not exhale due to your position on the cross.
