Small plane crashes near airport in Steamboat Springs

This is the third plane crash in Colorado in 10 days.

A small plane that was experiencing an engine problem crashed near the Steamboat Springs Airport/Bob Adams Field (SBS) Monday afternoon.

Routt County Emergency Communications said two mobile home trailers in the area were impacted by the crash. It is unclear if the plane landed on the mobile homes, or if debris from the plane crashed into the trailers.

No injuries have been reported at this time. Routt County Emergency Communications said there was a subsequent fire after the crash, but it is under control.

Emergency crews are still on the scene.
