Continuing research anon in a previous bread was looking for input on bracketed [here] q drop. A while back I found some bracketed 4am talking points. While digging on a random headline one of the hits lead to a news article with bracketed headers and a list of articles set up like a menu. The brackets are categories to subscribe from. Then they have individual stories tagged in ^<. The "news" outfits pick the stories they want and sometime they change headlines and sometimes they dont.

It was quite the rabbit hole. I meant to post it but not sure if I ever did. So posting now since it may be related. Tribune News Service is distributing the talking points as a subscription service. TNS parent company is Tronc. Digging on Tronc lead to a notable resignation by Chairman Michael Ferro for sexual misconduct. He was on the list already. Further digging on Tronc leads to a Chandler family mention since Tronc bought the LA Times. There was an Alternet article that I cant find right now laid out how newspapers have degenerated into narrative distributors.

Further study shows that NPR is a similar setup with all of their affiliates. Narrative feeders, narrative collectors, narrative distributors.
