Furious residents erupt at NYC town hall meeting over crime outside gargantuan migrant shelter that houses 3,000 men

A community meeting in Brooklyn devolved into a shouting match when concerned residents from several family-friendly neighborhoods expressed their extreme dissatisfaction with their councilmember over a huge migrant shelter in the area.

City councilmember Crystal Hudson was met with ire from her constituents as she attempted to speak at the community meeting on Monday night. Residents in the family-oriented neighborhood of Clinton Hill remain uneasy about the migrant shelter that opened last summer right next to the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

The shelter currently accommodates more than 3,000 single men who crossed the southern border illegally before being transported to New York City. Residents fear the massive shelter puts their children and the area in danger. Hudson did not help her case when she stood up in the middle of the meeting to announce a stabbing had occurred earlier in the day right by the shelter.

'There was an incident earlier today - it’s not the first incident, I hope it will be the last - there was a stabbing that was at the park,' said Hudson. The victim was reportedly treated at the scene. It is not clear whether any migrants were involved in the stabbing.

But Hudson's comments nonetheless further ignited intense frustration among the crowd at the Boys and Girls Navy Yard Clubhouse.

The news prompted several already angered constituents to stand up and begin shouting.

'You are avoiding the issue,' said one man into a microphone, speaking about the shelter. 'Is there a universe where the city can safely house 3,200 single men together?' 'It can't!' shouted some people in the crowd in response. 'It is unsafe! It is unsafe!' cried others. Last week, a young male migrant was stabbed when a fight broke out outside the shelter.

During the meeting, Hudson - who had City Speaker Adrienne Adams and Comptroller Brad Lander by her side - encouraged angry attendees to save their wrath for City Hall. She went on to blame the mayor for a lack of support in dealing with the migrant crisis. 'We have literally said exactly what you just said … I understand the frustration. I get it … But my office has done everything we can,' she said, according to local reporter Arya Sundaram.

Mayor Eric Adams, who has previously expressed frustration at the city's lack of resources and legal ability to stem the flow of tens of thousands of migrants sent to NYC - a sanctuary city - from the border.

Alejandro Gonzalez, a spokesperson for Councilwoman Hudson, said in a statement to the New York Post that her office confirmed its commitment to 'caring for' undocumented migrants. 'We’ve seen people come together to routinely provide material support for migrants. However, individual generosity doesn’t preclude the government’s need to steer collective action, and so far the mayor’s office has failed in that regard,' he also said.

'There is a need for the city to provide additional resources to address the emerging challenges facing new and longtime residents alike as well as sharing a vision for a long-term strategy that we can all work toward across the five boroughs.'

>another homicidal tranny

Trans woman, 28, on the run after woman and man were found shot dead in a Washington City home

A manhunt has been launched for a transgender woman who police say murdered a man and a woman in a Utah residence.

Washington City Police are looking for Collin Troy Bailey, 28, who also goes by the name Mia Bailey, who is currently transitioning.

Police said they were called after reports of shots fired at the home, and upon entry found the two deceased adults, confirming they died from gunshot wounds. No identities for the victims have been released.

The home where the victims were found shot dead is listed as Bailey's home address, according to public records. Also living there are Gail Bailey, 69, and her husband Joseph, 70, who appear to be Bailey's parents, though police are yet to confirm they were the victims. Bailey is the single suspect wanted by officers and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

She was seen fleeing the scene in a yellow 2014 Kia Sol, with her current whereabouts unknown. Police described Bailey as being 5' 10" tall, 130 pounds and has brown hair, but is known to wear wigs and change hairstyles frequently.

Gephardt Daily reported that in the early hours of Wednesday morning, police transmissions indicated that officers had located Bailey's general area. The outlet said that they believed the suspect to be on foot and officers were trying to contain the area while awaiting for a SWAT team.

City Police Lt. Kory Klotz told St. George News: '[Officers] did find two deceased victims — both adults, one female, one male. 'As they cleared the rest of the residence, they found evidence of a homicide. Her whereabouts are unknown. '(Her) last known location was on Washington Dam Road and Washington Fields Road. She is considered armed and dangerous.'

Klotz has asked that anybody who sees Bailey or her car should not approach over fears she has a small-caliber handgun on her.

He added: 'We can’t stress enough that we want to keep the public safe and make sure that they do not approach her and contact us at this point.' In its initial news release, the Washington City Police department shared condolences and thanked other agencies that were assisting.

Defendant in Vatican trial takes case to UN, accuses pope of violating his rights with surveillance

NEW YORK (AP) — One of the defendants in the Vatican’s big financial trial has formally complained to the United Nations that Pope Francis violated his human rights by authorizing wide-ranging surveillance during the investigation.

A lawyer for Raffaele Mincione, a London-based financier, submitted a complaint last week to the U.N. Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights via a special procedure that allows individuals or groups to provide the U.N. with information about alleged rights violations in countries or institutions.

The filing marks the latest and highest-profile complaint about the Vatican trial, highlighting the peculiarity of the Vatican’s criminal justice system and its seeming incompatibility with European and democratic norms. The Vatican is an absolute monarchy where the pope wields supreme legislative, executive and judicial power.

The trial, which opened in 2021 and ended in December, focused on the Holy See’s money-losing 350 million euro investment in a London property but also included other tangents. Vatican prosecutors alleged brokers and Vatican officials fleeced the Holy See of tens of millions of euros in fees and commissions, and then extorted the Holy See for 15 million euros ($16.5 million) to cede control of the property.

The trial ended in December with convictions for nine of the 10 defendants, including Mincione and a once-powerful cardinal, Angelo Becciu. The court’s motivations for the sentence still haven’t been published, but both Vatican prosecutors and the nine convicted defendants have announced appeals. Mincione’s complaint to the U.N. focused on the role of the pope during the investigation, an area that was flagged as problematic by defense lawyers during the trial and external experts in its aftermath.

The complaint cited four secret executive decrees Francis signed in 2019 and 2020 that gave Vatican prosecutors wide-ranging powers to investigate, including via unchecked wiretapping and to deviate from existing laws. The decrees only came to light right before trial, were never officially published, provided no rationale or timeframe for the surveillance, or oversight of the wiretapping by an independent judge.

The chief prosecutor argued Francis’ decrees provided unspecified “guarantees” for the suspects, and the judges rejected the defense motions at the time that argued they violated the fundamental right to a fair trial. In a somewhat convoluted decision, the judges ruled that no violation of the principle of legality had occurred since Francis had made the laws.

Mincione’s complaint also alleged the tribunal is not independent or impartial, a claim the Vatican has rejected previously. Francis can hire and fire judges and prosecutors, and recently decided such things such as their compensation, pension and term limits. It is not clear what, if anything, the U.N. will do with the complaint. The Geneva-based office fields special rapporteurs, or experts, to monitor specific areas of human rights, including the judiciary and independence of judges and lawyers.

He really has no shame.

Disgraced former lawmaker George Santos is now on OnlyFans. Santos announced his latest endeavor on Wednesday weeks after he launched a Cameo account to raise funds for his lavish lifestyle and legal defense. “The moment you’ve all been waiting for!” Santos claimed on X.

George Santos reveals OnlyFans page — and he’s already posted content

“I decided to go with OnlyFans because I wanted to stir the pot. Folks need to stop being so sensitive…” he said. Santos, who used to represent the district that includes Long Island and Queens, has desperately tried to garner attention for himself after he was expelled from Congress last December in light of fraud charges brought against him by federal prosecutors.

The Republican, in a follow-up post, made it clear the OnlyFans account does not have adults-only content. He also admitted it was just a stunt to make a buck.

Women may be required to register for the draft

https://wsvn.com/news/politics/women-may-be-required-to-register-for-the-draft

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Senate’s version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) includes a provision that would require women to register for Selective Service, marking a significant potential change in military policy.

On page three of the NDAA, under the heading of “Strengthening the Joint Force and Defense Workforce,” the Military Selective Service Act would be amended to require the registration of women for Selective Service.

While some lawmakers oppose the measure, others argue it would benefit the government. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) voiced his concerns during a committee meeting.

“I just think it’s wrong to say to women, ‘We’re going to involuntarily put you in the military.’ If they want to join voluntarily, that’s fantastic,” he said. “My sister proudly served in the United States Navy. There are so many women in the armed forces doing terrific work. Women have been part of the military since its founding, and that’s awesome. But that’s not what we’re talking about. They’re talking about drafting women involuntarily, and I’m totally opposed to that. I’m also worried about the expansion of the draft.”
