codefag here. It means that the other fix wasn't the right fix. Now CM has to figure out what the underlying issue is.
I spent some time looking into it yesterday and think I found where the issue was. I got distracted doing actual work and dropped it. I'll take another look.
There is some JS code that runs on the QResearch board that just doesn't seem to run on the other boards I looked at here on 8ch. That appeared to be where the issue was.
So, inside job? I don't think so. Coding mistake that only affects the qresearch board? CM overworked and unable to fix? Probable.
I'll grab a local copy of the catalog and see if I can find the issue.
The Sinister Meaning of “Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared”
“Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared” is a web series of six enigmatic videos that has grown into a “cult phenomenon”. Behind the weirdness, however, is a deeper message: It is about mass media brainwashing and MKULTRA.

Yeah so I just looked at it again. The js code that I found yesterday looks to be some custom ad/image code. Not the culprit.
The issue is that the catalog itself is not being updated and then sent down to the client. No matter what you do, the initial load is always the same. That means that it's either
A) a server code issue or
B) a cloudflare issue where it's only sending cached pages rather than updated ones.
I believe that it being a cloudflare issue is unlikely because people all across the planet hit different cloudflare servers. They can't ALL be sending out the same cached page.
Looks to be serverside to me. I'll dig thru the OpenIB source and see if anything stands out.
I agree. Not notable.
