I think they are using a specially clear type of Silica, the stuff they use in fiber optic, but much cleaner than that, made in space kind of clear,
It has the same refractive index as air, so a screen made of this will have no reflection, and no edges, because it appears as air.
Me thinks they are trying too fool us.
