It's been violated for a VERY VERY long time. Sworn law enforcement also swear an oath to the constitution, and they violate it daily. The United States government is in violation of the constitution, and EVERYONE who swore that oath sits and collects the paycheck.
I just want to add. You see this woman? She's a first amendment auditor. She's ACTUALLY standing for the constitution, and she was knocked unconscious last night while she was battered by a piece of shit cop that didn't like her recording after she refused an unlawful order to cross the street. This is her "mug shot" taken in the hospital. The cop is very clear on video yelling "stop resisting" as she's unconscious (snoring) and bleeding. The cop has a history of violence and unnecessary use of force. That's the state of our constitution, abused and put in the hospital for a constitutionally protected activity, and it's that way BECAUSE of the inaction of the cowards who swore the oath.
