I'd be willing to put up with the recalls…they're minor (imo).
I can't justify the extra 20K for the Foundation, so I have to wait….a poor(er) person option could have been offered, just some laser etching and skip the 20k worth of add-ons and i'd be driving one now.
Destroit is scared. This beast is going to kill all their sales.
Elon is retailing it for a premium right now, but guaranteed, his COGS are a lot lower than anything detroit produces. Anytime he wants to pull the rug out from them he can - he doesn't for a few good reasons:
1) Overall economy (existential threat)
2) Collaborate vs. compete (i.e. GM partnership)
3) Monopoly concerns (he already attracts too much attention)
