While I'm fortunate my adult child is a high functioning autist, it still comes with challenges and my son may never be able to live on his own. Sadly, there are no programs or help in my state to solve the problem of moving adult autists into society where they can function and thrive. It's up to parents to cope with all the issues on their own.
