Judge orders ex-Playboy model to serve lawsuit on Avenatti
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A judge has ordered a former Playboy centerfold model to provide copies of a lawsuit she filed last week against a top fundraiser for President Donald Trump to porn actress Stormy Daniels' lawyer and others.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Ernest Hiroshige denied requests from news organizations Tuesday to make the lawsuit public.
Shera Bechard is suing Elliott Broidy, who disclosed last spring the two had an affair, and agreed to pay her $1.6 million as part of a confidentiality agreement. The suit also names Bechard's former attorney, Keith Davidson, and Daniels' attorney, Michael Avenatti.
Broidy's lawyers have said they stopped paying Bechard because Davidson had discussed details of the confidentiality agreement with Avenatti.
The lawsuit will be automatically unsealed in 20 days, unless there were further sealing motions.
