My mom used to yell at us in kmart to quit running around and stay by her and she woukd just leave us there when she was finished shopping. I got lost from herat about age 7, eventually went to service desk at entrance of store and asked them to oage her to come find me. As they were paging my mom by name, I glanced to the left out the entrance glass doors only to see my mom in our car, white Ford Fairlane with black peeling hardtop, glaring at me by the curb. The kind of car where you could and would lay horizonally in. kek
Another time at Kmart, they had sqare bins near the checkout lane that they would toss a ton if one cheap item in, like hairbrushes. My mom told us to stop touching them, of course i touched them. Mom had to buy the Goody brand, fake platic wood looking, round brush, as i wound it up my hair and we couldn't get to come out, (long haired kid 70's, you get it) I still remember mom trying for a very long tine at hone trying to remove it without cutting it out, whacking my head with said stuck round brush every few minutes as she tugged and tried to dislodge. We ended up with scissors. Ah Kmart memories.
