Labour has been criticised for allegedly abandoning the fight against Nigel Farage in Clacton, where their candidate, Jovan Owusu-Nepaul, has reportedly been reassigned to campaign in the West Midlands.
Owusu-Nepaul, 27, is one of the few Black male candidates for Labour and was selected to contest the Clacton seat, which the Tories secured with a 24,702 majority at the last election. Interest in the constituency has increased following Farage's announcement that he would run there for Reform UK.
