Made an interesting discovery…

Found out the name of a local "non-profit" involved in processing the illegal/legal border crossers.

Did it form a corporation? Y, verified on the state SOS corp lookup page.

Did it apply for and receive a FEIN from the IRS? Y. verified at IRS.

Did it apply for and get granted non-profit status by IRS? Y verified at IRS.

Has it filed the annual tax return required by non-profits? NO.

Back to <my stateSec of State website — has the non-profit filed its annual reports (basically a renewal of corporate status that lists current officers)? NO - and hasn't except for the first year… so the SOS office revoked the corporate status.

Over to the state AG's office…..

Did the non-profit file with the state AG's office as a non-profit, as required? NO.

Did the non-profit file with the state AG's office the annual financial statements as required? No…. didn't bother registering at all.

YET……………..

They actively solicit and receive donations and grants. Nobody knows where money came from or goes….

AND…………….

Even the local Walmart was soliciting on their behalf (as listed on a receipt —- do you want to make a donation to <the non-profit helping those illegals come across>………………

DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN APPLY THRU A WHISTLEBLOWER PROGRAM to the IRS, and get a percentage of any back taxes they collect? IRS has teeth that don't go away so easy.
