On election night 2016, halfchan /pol was full of prayer chains. Prayer thread after prayer thread filled the catalogue. Those who were witnessing it felt a surge and we somehow knew Trump was going to win. We expected it. Agreed on it.

We prayed for the children. We prayed for justice for the hundreds of Arkancide victims BY NAME.

When it neared 9 pm EST the place was on fire. This was /pol remember, cynical, jaded, dregs and deplorable… but it was everyone. Every thread and everyone but the clowns and shills praying.

I have often in my life wondered why the Holy Spirit doesn’t descend on us now as it did to the disciples in the Upper Room.
