The women are the ones running the show.
Consider the 5 women that received envelopes at the funeral.

Laura Bush- out of the running. She has no more men to do her bidding. Jeb was a no go to retain her power especially after Barbara and George died. Left her powerless and out of the loop.

Karen Pence- Mike Pence wasn't popular or strong enough to move beyond VP. She lost her power by backing the wrong man. Rumor of the Pence/Ryan takeover could have been her way of trying to win the presidency rather than settle for VP.

Michelle Obama- BO did his two terms and she is still a viable player if she goes for Biden's spot. She is backed by the Bushes in their attempt to get back in.

Hillary Clinton- She lost some of her power when Bill left office. She tried other venues to get back into power. They aren't pushing this too much because the original Hillary is probably dead.

Jill Biden- She has been all the power and moves in the whitehouse since day one. Evident in her forging Joe's signature on day one and her 'prepping' for the G7 meeting. Every where that Joe is, Jill is guiding him along.
If he dies or resigns she loses all her power. His is literally her puppet.
Kamala is a non-player since I don't think she was ever in the inner circle of witches.
