I just realized some of the greater implications of laugh tracks in sitcoms which seems like only one minor detail in the grand scheme of things with dire impact.
The way I figure it is even the most informed anons are victims of brainwashing and hence why the movie needs to be existing this way. Hundredth monkey effect being one component but the pervasiveness of the propaganda is so vast in its reach and impact that it can't be undone. It's as if one can't deprogram but has to be reprogrammed.

Movie as in events on the news are scripted to happen, that it has possibly always been this way, but this control apparatus has been taken over by patriots.

The results may vary, but I think all they need is a certain number of people influenced to achieve critical mass in that the desired behavior becomes dominant in any given space. The clearest example of this I can think of is kids in school quoting movies or shows that just released. It establishes an in-group which can naturally ostracize the suddenly created out-group comprised of people taken completely unaware due to protective parents that still ship them off to school despite controlling what entertainment they watch.

Ultimately you're talking about in-groups within in-groups. Consider the allegiance all parties have to past presidents prior to Trump despite party lines. And why in the movie, Trump takes the first indictment/arrest to exploit this to erode opposition to him. You have lefties questioning the actions of their party because of this old conditioning.
The point is that all movies, tv, and music aimed to inverse this innate, natural morality. If you turn off the switch, people naturally drift back. The Q movie accelerates this natural drift while seeming to keep the drip on, to avoid panic, looting, mass chaos.
