I received some details about Biden’s February fundraising visit to Los Angeles.
At the fundraiser at the home of mega-donor Haim Saban, which cost up to $250k/person, Biden read a brief speech off a teleprompter & left without much interaction.
Later, Biden’s 1-on-1 meetings with $1M+ donors were attended by a staffer who promised donors that the staffer would handle the donors’ requests because Biden wouldn’t remember much from the meetings. At one such meeting, Biden apparently didn’t recognize the name of one of his high-level appointees, when asked by the donor to contact that person for a favor.
As you can imagine, people who paid huge sums of money weren’t very happy with what they got for it.
