Donald Trump Gets Good News From Post-Debate Poll

A CBS News/YouGov poll, conducted shortly after the debate on June 28 and 29, surveyed 1,130 registered voters and provided Trump with several favorable insights. It revealed that he beat Biden on four key criteria: presenting ideas, appearing presidential, inspiring confidence, and explaining plans and policies. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.2 points.

When asked "Who do you think did the better job, or 'won' Thursday's debate?" 56 percent of voters surveyed answered Trump while 16 percent said Biden.

According to the poll, 47 percent of those surveyed said they believe Trump presented his ideas clearly, compared to only 21 percent for Biden. During the debate, Biden gave several stumbling and at times incoherent and hard to hear responses.
