Never had the lagging problem, but here's a thought.

Lagging might be from CAPTCHA script checking to see if you are ok to post.

You can pre-qualify from the top menu (little skinny bar menu along the very top) Pre-Solve the CAPTCHA icon is a checkmark in a circle.
