Notes for the Almighty-Joe Biden said he would listen to you, Lord. I pray you will tell him what he needs to hear.

O Lord above, you have sent down tribulations upon our president and upon his people. On bended knee, we pray for relief. We ask that you speak, Lord, to tell our president that the time has come to rest. Speak, Lord, through emissaries, through Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.).

President Biden has said that he is listening for your counsel. And so we pray that you’ll provide it.

You have brought humanity prosperity, Lord, and growth in our populations around the globe. You have reduced poverty across the Earth. You have blessed us, Lord, with the power of innovation, and we have created technologies to ease human suffering. We can build magnificent cities. We can transport people across the planet. We can communicate and collaborate across all possible lines of difference. The Tower of Babel is no more.

Yet, Lord, the very powers you have given us, you have left us to wield as sinful creatures. And we wield our powers sinfully, Lord.
