Had a Flat-Coat Retriever that was ALL waterdog. Didn't matter if it was a bath, a boat ride, the lake,ocean or mud puddle. If it was water, she was in it. Funniest dog that ever owned us.
We adopted her at 2 years old. She had a dog door to go in/out. 3 days after we brought her home, we came home from the grocery store and saw a head bobbing in the above ground swimming pool. Not knowing who/what it was, we rant to the edge prepared to jump in… only to find the damn dog floating on the raft in the pool. Never laughed so hard. The raft was the MRSs fave raft-which she immediately lost forever more to the damn dawg!
