There's comms in movies. There are coded messages in shots and scenes for different interpretations depending on your knowledge. For example, when certain words have certain numerical values that are written in the background or license plate numbers. Often times the subliminal serves the plot itself by supporting character development.
Doc mentions in BttF2 that it's fascinating that they have to go back to 1955 like it's a temporal vortex or pivot point. I forget his exact line. I guess I'll look it up.

I don't see how that debunks Q's involvement or allowance of it to happen.
It established the Patriot Act which enables massive data collection. It involves players from all over the matrix, and everybody appears in on it, so they wouldn't fear the surveillance programs.
Meanwhile history will look back on the total destruction of society in video format of peak degeneracy, so mankind hopefully never collapses organically at any point in the future.
