What are the odds that the Big Boy train is running through CA on the same day as the Bog Boy news conference…?

The world’s largest steam locomotive is traveling through Northern California on Thursday and there’s a tracker to follow its route as it heads from Portola to Roseville.

Union Pacific's Big Boy No. 4014 is on tour across five states this summer from Wyoming to California. It’s scheduled for public display in Roseville on Friday and Saturday. The other public display will be in Ogden, Utah, on July 20-21. Others along the route can check out the 1.1-million pound train car on Friday as it travels through Plumas, Butte, Yuba, Sutter, Sacramento and Placer counties.

The locomotive is expected to arrive in Oroville by 2:45 p.m. and then head south into Sacramento and eventually Roseville for a private Union Pacific employee event Thursday evening.
