Former Pelosi Staffer Accused of Raping Ex-Senate Aide

An ex-Senate staffer has come forward with allegations that she was sexually assaulted by a former aide to onetime House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

A police report obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle details Zahra Hajee’s accusations against Kevin Ortiz.

Hajee, a former aide to San Francisco City Supervisor Rafael Mandelman, has also worked for Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA). She claims Ortiz sexually assaulted her in March and April 2021.

Ortiz denies the allegations, saying through his lawyers that the encounters were consensual. Ortiz is the co-president of the Latinx Democratic Club and was working for Pelosi when he met Hajee in early 2021. While he continues to serve as president of the political club, Ortiz left the Democratic leader’s office in 2022. In an attempt to verify his claims that the relationship was mutual, the former Pelosi aide provided screenshots of text messages that show Hajee repeatedly requesting to meet up with Ortiz.

This isn’t the first time Ortiz has been accused of inappropriate behavior. The outlet reported that a second woman alleged that Ortiz sexually assaulted her in 2019. She has declined to reveal her identity or file a police report.

Ortiz has rejected her accusations as well, saying the encounter was consensual and sending her a cease and desist letter, something he also did to Hajee.

In response to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment, a spokesman for Pelosi said the former House speaker’s office does not comment on confidential personnel matters.

Court Just Nailed Hillary for FEC Violation 45x Bigger Than Trump’s $130k So-Called Violation

The Washington D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday that the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign and an affiliated super PAC violated federal election law in spending that totaled close to $6 million.

The amount in question is more than 45 times the $130,000 a Manhattan court convicted former President Donald Trump of misreporting in business records during the same 2016 campaign.

It should be noted that the Federal Election Commission and the Justice Department looked at the payments Trump made through his personal attorney at the time, Michael Cohen, to adult film star Stormy Daniels as part of a nondisclosure agreement and declined to prosecute him.

But Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg chose to bring the case under New York law, bootstrapping the alleged FEC violation as an underlying crime to the state business record violations.

So Clinton and the DNC pay an FEC administrative fine and the matter is done with, but Trump has to go through a six-week criminal trial and faces potential jail time.

And Democrats wonder why they’re accused of overseeing a two-tiered system of justice.

Harrington further detailed her concerns about the proposed monitoring team’s members.

“The list includes Ryan Germany, Raffensperger’s general counsel in 2020 Matt Mashburn, former SEB member who sicced the FBI on the author of the SEB2023-025 complaint Monica Childers, who worked on the hand count audit for Voting Works, whose software ARLO included fraudulent entries amounting to at least 4,081 false Biden votes,” Harrington wrote.

But there’s a problem. According to the documentation Harrington referenced, the establishment of such a team required prior agreement before a critical July 9 State Election Board meeting—a stipulation evidently bypassed by the county.

“Fulton County voted to approve this proposal yesterday. But there’s a problem. At the May 7 State Election Board meeting, a monitoring team was contingent on being agreed to BEFORE the July 9 meeting. This did not happen,” Harrington wrote. “Now they’re trying to ram through a 2020 Clean Up Crew to make sure 2024 is “legit,” she added.

AT&T Confirms Another Massive Cyberattack With ‘Nearly All’ Customers Affected

Records downloaded from Snowflake cloud platform, AT&T says

Compromised data doesn’t include content of calls, messages

AT&T Inc. suffered a massive hack of customer data — separate from one reported earlier this year — that included records of calls and texts for nearly all of its mobile-phone users for a six-month period in 2022, one of the biggest breaches of private communications data in recent memory.

The company said in a regulatory filing Friday that the breach, which hasn’t been previously disclosed, also included those records from customers of wireless service providers that used AT&T’s network between May 1, 2022 and Oct. 31 of that year. The company said it learned in April that the information was illegally downloaded from a workspace on a third-party cloud platform, which a spokesperson identified as Snowflake Inc.

Records from Jan. 2, 2023 were also compromised for a “very small” number amount of customers, the company said.

The data doesn’t include the contents of the calls and messages, personal information such as birth dates and Social Security numbers, or the times of the calls, according to the filing. However, the records “identify the telephone numbers an AT&T or MVNO cellular number interacted with during these periods,” according to the filing, referring to wireless service providers that use AT&T’s network. Although the data doesn’t include customer names, there are “publicly available online tools” that can connect numbers with people’s identities, the company said.

While much remains unknown about the breach, it has the potential — if the data is released — to be devastating for some customers. That includes anyone who doesn’t want others knowing who they are calling, such as politicians, executives, activists, journalists and their sources.

Bloomberg News reported on April 1 that personal data from about 73 million current and former AT&T customers was leaked on the dark web. That data appeared to be from 2019 and earlier and isn’t connected to the breach reported Friday, a spokesperson told Bloomberg.

On Friday, AT&T said it didn’t believe the information from the latest breach has been released publicly.

An investigation was initiated that included cybersecurity experts and steps were taken to close off the illegal access point. AT&T has been working with law enforcement, and believes at least one person involved has been apprehended, according to the filing.

Last month, Snowflake said that hackers had targeted its customers. The intruders used stolen login details to access the accounts of as many as 165 Snowflake customers — including Lending Tree, Advanced Auto Parts Inc., Pure Storage Inc. and Ticketmaster — and steal data. The hackers didn’t breach Snowflake but used credentials that were available in places like cybercriminal forums to access customer accounts, which lacked security measures such as multifactor authentication.

Civilian airliner crashes outside Moscow (VIDEO)

A Sukhoi Superjet 100 has gone down in Moscow Region, with only three crew members listed on board, officials have said

A Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 airliner has crashed outside of Moscow, local officials have said. There were three crew members reported on board.

Local authorities told TASS that the plane crashed on Friday afternoon in the Kolomna district, some 80km southeast of the Russian capital, and that emergency services had been dispatched to the scene. The plane, which typically seats 87 to 98 passengers, belonged to Russian gas giant Gazprom, was undergoing repairs and had taken off as part of a test flight, they added.

A crew of three was on board, officials said.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry has confirmed the crash, adding that the plane fell in a forested area. “There were three crew members on the plane. According to preliminary information, they all died. There are no casualties among the population,” it said.

TASS initially reported that the Sukhoi Superjet 100 had taken off from Zhukovsky airfield for a fly-by. Later, however, it clarified that the jet had taken off from another nearby airfield, Lukovitsy, and was heading for Vnukovo International Airport. The agency’s source explained the mix-up by saying that another plane of the same type had taken off from Zhukovsky and was flying without incident.

The agency added that the aircraft that crashed had been produced in 2014 and delivered to Gazprom the next year, which was its sole operator.

Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency said that the incident would be investigated by the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) operating under the jurisdiction the Commonwealth of Independent States, which includes several post-Soviet republics. Russian experts will also be involved, it added.

Several hours after the incident, the head of the Kolomna district, Aleksander Grechischev, posted a video from where the plane came down. The clip shows a lot of felled trees and a number of emergency workers securing the area around the remains of the plane, which appears to have been mostly destroyed in the crash. Grechischev reiterated that there was no threat to nearby settlements.

The CIA is running global coups and assassinations to try to stop BRICS

There has been much unrest in Bolivia in recent days, as Bolivian Army General Juan Jose Zuniga threatened to overthrow President Luis Arce as he demanded a new cabinet and the release of political prisoners. He led military units to gather in the main square of La Paz, home to the presidential palace and Congress. An armored vehicle slammed a palace door to allow soldiers to rush into the building. But it was a failed attempt.

Amidst Bolivia's bid to join the BRICS group, Arce, supported by international allies, addressed and defused the situation, reaffirming his commitment to democracy and swearing in new military commanders. The now dismissed military chief was ordered to six months of "preventive detention" for his role in leading the failed coup against the government.

Following Wednesday's unsuccessful coup, observers have raised suspicion that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was part of the master plan. Users on X, formerly known as Twitter, speculated that the coup attempt was secretly backed by the CIA, either because of Bolivia's vast supplies of lithium, in retaliation for its closeness to Russia or its hostility to Israel. One X user said: "This is the second CIA-backed coup plot against the Bolivian state in under five years. Bolivia has 21 million tons of lithium reserves, the largest on the planet. Bolivia also cut off all relations with Israel in condemnation of the genocide in Gaza. Coincidence? I think not." A comment that seemed to refer to the U.S. from Puerto Rican communist "Combate" said: "They own Argentina. They own Chile. They're going after Bolivia."

A different post highlighted Arce's recent trip to St. Petersburg and talks between Bolivia and Russia on nuclear research. "Let's not pretend we don't know who is responsible for today's coup, this is the work of the U.S. CIA," the post said.

Meanwhile, Great Game India reported that Zuniga was seeking to prevent former President Evo Morales from running for president again. He claimed that the former chief would harm the country. However, a Bolivian court has already declared Morales unable to run again.

Just like X users, analysts also believe that the CIA is involved in the failed resistance. Suspicion of the U.S. in Bolivia, stemming from the CIA's historical support for Latin American military regimes and the State Department's involvement in several coups under Henry Kissinger, has left a lasting legacy on the political life of the South American country, which has seen over 190 coup attempts in its history.

Congress orders State Department to cover up Israel’s war crime death toll

On June 26, the United States House of Representatives passed an amendment barring the State Department from citing the Gaza Health Ministry’s death toll statistics for the Israel-Hamas war. Once signed into law, it will effectively halt discussions of the war's deaths.

The House voted 269-144 for a revision to the Department of State appropriations bill proposed by a bipartisan group led by Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL). A group of 62 Democrats joined all but two Republicans in voting for the measure. The provision "prohibits funds appropriated by this act to be made available for the State Department to cite statistics obtained from the Gaza Health Ministry."

The health ministry has been cited by the department and news agencies for decades amid conflict in Gaza. Its daily death toll during the current conflict that began in October has served as a primary source for understanding the war's impact on Palestinians in the territory. It is the only official entity tracking death data in Gaza.

Palestinian-American congresswoman Rashida Tlaib slammed the vote in Congress, which critics allege is an attempt to hide the scale of the devastation wreaked on Gaza by Israel. "Since 1948, Mr. Speaker, there has been a coordinated effort, especially in this chamber, to dehumanize Palestinians and erase Palestinians from existence," Tlaib said in a speech addressing the House before the vote. "My colleagues want to prohibit our own U.S. officials from even citing the Palestinian death toll."

The Michigan representative reminded her colleagues of the tens of thousands killed by Israel in Gaza, highlighting the number of children among those dead. "Six children are killed in Gaza every single hour. But Palestinians are not just numbers. Behind these numbers are real people, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters who have had their lives stolen from them and their families torn apart and we should not be trying to hide it," she added and then slammed the anti-Palestinian racism in their chamber.

"My colleagues don't even want to acknowledge that Palestinians exist at all. Not when they're alive, and now, not even when they're dead. It's absolutely disgusting. This is genocide denial," she lamented.

According to the health ministry's latest release, nearly 38,000 have died and 85,000 have been injured since Israel started its genocidal operations in Gaza last fall. Many of those injured have life-altering wounds. The United Nations Palestinian Aid Agency (UNRWA) estimates that over 2,000 children, or nearly ten per day, have lost legs since Oct. 7.

The agency also noted that the figure is likely an undercount, due to Gaza's lack of medical infrastructure and those missing and trapped under rubble. Its daily death toll also does not include underlying data and does not differentiate between civilians and combatants.

President Joe Biden even attempted to cast doubt on the reliability of the Gaza death toll numbers, suggesting the possibility that Hamas may have been manipulating the data. "I have no notion that the Palestinians are telling the truth about how many people are killed," Biden said in October, prompting Gaza's health authorities to publish a detailed list of the names and ages of the Palestinians killed by Israel at the time.

Health Insurance Companies Overcharged Medicare By Over $50 BILLION For Fake Illnesses

A report from the Wall Street Journal has found that private health insurance companies running Medicare Advantage programs have overcharged the federal government by up to $50 billion by claiming that their patients are worse off than they actually were.

Medicare Advantage, also known as Medicare Part C, is a program in which private insurers provide supplementary, Medicare-approved health insurance plans that, in theory, are intended to incentivize private insurers to provide healthcare to patients with complex medical conditions.

The government pays insurers a base rate of $3,735 for each member enrolled on Medicare Advantage. Health insurance companies are entitled to extra payments when their patients are diagnosed with certain conditions that are costly to treat.

For example, insurers receive an additional $2,370 for Medicare Advantage members with morbid obesity, $2,541 for atrial fibrillation, $2,180 for stroke, $2,086 for seizures, $1,422 for prostate cancer, $1,280 for chest pains and $654 for kidney disease.

Medicare Advantage was created assuming that private, for-profit health insurance companies could use the program to provide healthcare more efficiently. Instead, the system has given insurers an incentive to search their patients for additional diagnoses they could stick on them, leading to patients seeming sicker on paper.

This has led Medicare Advantage spending to balloon. Now, it costs taxpayers more than $450 billion, and spending in the program now accounts for more than half of all Medicare spending and has proven to be more expensive than the regular Medicare system it has ended up supplanting.

The rise of the Big Tech companies is not a fairy tale of free market success, but rather a dark and disturbing story of corporate welfare and deep ties to the intelligence community. In fact, most of the digital tools you use – including cell phones, GPS, and the internet itself started out as tools for the military. These tools were designed by the US Department of Defence, under the direction of the Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency or DARPA.

Trove Of Biden Docs Details How DHS Planned To Crack Down On Conservative Voices, Law Group Says

America First Legal (AFL) made public a trove of documents that reveal a coordinated effort within the Biden administration to crack down on the free speech of its political opponents, according to the conservative law group.

AFL obtained the documents through legal action taken against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) over its now-defunct Homeland Intelligence Experts Group. The group coordinated with an advisory body led by former intelligence officials John Brennan and James Clapper on ways to combat “domestic terrorism,” which includes cracking down on political dissent, according to AFL.

“The American people need to read these records and our exposé of the Biden Administration’s efforts to further weaponize the government to achieve their objectives. This ‘committee,’ stacked with the Administration’s allies, was formed in violation of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, and we were proud to have stopped its activities. Now, it is up to Congress to stop the Biden Administration from further using these same actors to advance their radical agenda at the DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis,“ America First Legal Executive Director Gene Hamilton said in a statement.

AFL has released some of the documents over recent weeks as part of a “#DeepStateDiaries” series on how the DHS intelligence group planned to operate, including creating campaigns, working with local authorities to spread its message, and convincing popular podcasters to endorse its aims. The conservative legal group released dozens of pages of emails, notes, and other documents it obtained through the course of litigation over the DHS group on Thursday.

DHS disbanded the Homeland Intelligence Experts Group in May after legal action by AFL. The group was formed in September 2023 to “provide advice and perspectives on intelligence and national security efforts.”

“It was not intended to provide unbiased, expert advice to advance the Department of Homeland Security’s mission,” the AFL in a releaseannouncing the DHS group’s fall. “Instead, it was a deeply partisan group designed to provide top cover for the Department’s radical agenda under Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas.”

The DHS group was advised by a body led by Brennan, a former head of the CIA, and Clapper, who served as Director of National Intelligence under former president Barack Obama. Both Brennan and Clapper were signatories to a 2020 letter by intelligence experts that suggested that information gained from Hunter Biden’s laptop, abandoned at a Delaware computer repair store, was likely Russian disinformation.

The laptop has since been independently authenticated numerous times over by various outlets and experts.

ISRAEL LOBBY FUNDED HALF OF KEIR STARMER’S CABINET

Exclusive: Labour’s top team has accepted hundreds of thousands of pounds from pro-Israel funders.

Pro-Israel lobbyists have donated to 13 out of Labour’s 25 cabinet members since they were first elected to parliament, Declassified can reveal.

The list of recipients includes prime minister Keir Starmer, his deputy Angela Rayner, chancellor Rachel Reeves, foreign secretary David Lammy and home secretary Yvette Cooper.

Jonathan Reynolds, who will oversee arms exports to Israel as UK trade secretary, is another beneficiary, alongside Labour’s election mastermind Pat McFadden, whose responsibilities now include national security.

Some of the donations were provided by Labour Friends of Israel (LFI), a lobby group which takes MPs on “fact-finding” missions to the region.

Reeves, McFadden, Reynolds and technology secretary Peter Kyle were recently listed as vice-chairs of LFI.

Other major funders include pro-Israel businessmen Trevor Chinn and Stuart Roden.

The total value of the donations amounts to over £300,000.
