Math test. Measure the length of travel of the bullet (based on trumps head?). Figure out at what shutter speed the camera was set (would that be on the file of the pic?). That will give you the a close approximation to the muzzle velocity. I.e. 4 ft of travel with a shutter of 500th/ sec makes 2k ft/s. See if that matches against the reported gun and ammo used.

“The angle seems a bit low to have passed through his ear, but not impossible if the gunman fired multiple rounds.

“If the gunman was firing an AR-15-style rifle, the .223-caliber or 5.56-millimeter bullets they use travel at roughly 3,200 feet per second when they leave the weapon’s muzzle.

“And with a 1/8,000th of a second shutter speed, this would allow the bullet to travel approximately four-tenths of a foot while the shutter is open.”

A discrepancy. In the pic it looks like it travelled a full hat. Which would be a about a foot. Should of travelled less than half a hat. Means bullet may of been travelling a lot faster.2 to 2.5 times faster. Don't know what goes that fast or if there are errors. Anybody push the sightlines back from where the shooter was?
